Pro V3 Release!! |
There are totally 5 components
in Magic Switch Pro V3. The first 4 tools are the same
as Magic Switch Pro V2. The new piece (Tool E) is designed
to solve the problem that installation of D requires
open the case which will void the warranty of console.
It is installed near the location of previous Tool C
but usable on the new version of PS2 Slimline. Please
refer to the Installation
manual of Magic Switch Pro V3. |

Magic Switch Pro V2 included
4 parts. The smallest square die is called Tool D. This
small die is specially designed for the latest model
of PS2 Slim, such as, Ceramic White and Satin Silver.
Since the "Tool C"(the biggest parts of the
Magic Switch Pro) can not be inserted into the new model
of PS2 Slim(Tool C can still insert into PS2 Slim old
model, pls refer to the previouse news), you need to
install Tool D instead of Tool C to load imported/backup
games on PS2 Slim. Here

The case design of the
latest PS2 Slim has been changed |
Recently, two PS2 Slim consoles
with new color - Ceramic White and Satin Silver have been
released and they are found that the design of the inside
of their cases have been changed. In the Picture
1, you can see that there is a piece of plastic which
block the users from inserting the Tool C of Magic Switch/Magic
Switch Pro into the PS2 console on the new CD Cover.
Picture 2 shows another change
in the case. Because of the plastic stick in the
red circle, the Flip Top Cover cannot open completely.
In the Picture 3, you can see that
the Flip Top Cover is only half opened.
Nevertheless, the new model of PS2 Slim can still load
the Swap Magic disc without problem. Thus, Swap
Magic + Flip Top Cover can still play your backups successfully.

Installation Tips release! |

Here is the tips of
installing the Tool C(the biggest parts of Magic
Switch). Firstly, put the Tool C in the gap.
But, before you totally push it into the gap,
please push it to the left first like the
picture shown above(you can click the pic to
enlarge)and then push it in till it goes no
further downwards. If succeed, the laser lens
will move downwards provided that your PSTwo is
power on. If not succeed, the laser lens will
not move and you need to redo all the steps
again. |
